Want to get rid of those advertisements?

You should notice a donate link up in the navbar. If you would like to help by donating to the site, you may use paypal to do so. Please note, there are no physical products that come with the donation. That means you won't be receiving a t-shirt or decal. We will be offering a seperate supporting membership option in the future.

At this time, the donations will help us fund the creation of the t-shirt image and also purchase additional scripts for the site, i.e. photo gallery and some SEO(search engine optimization) software. For your donation we do offer the following site features:

Removal of all advertisements(except supporting vendors)
PM limit increased to 500
A user rank indicating your donater(sp?) status (still working on the image)

The minimum donation is $5. You may choose as little or as much as you would like to donate and a donation is NOT required to participate on the site.

Please bear with us in getting all the settings correct. We don't have a way of testing this feature as you cannot paypal yourself money. Please PM me if you notice anything weird.

Ok, We have received a couple donations so far. Just a heads up, I have to manually confirm each donation, so depending if I am online or not, you will still see the ads until I confirm your donation. Thanks everyone

It keeps telling me that $5 is the minimum and won't let me continue.

I just tried $5 and it took me to PayPal.
I want to give a little extra so do what you can and let me know when.

I just received a PM from "The Forum Team"
I didn't know that I actually made a donation. The $5 took me to paypal but I never even clicked on the page. I just closed it. Did I actually make a donation without logging in to Paypal?

Also, the time/date stamp indicated seems wrong.
The time is right but the date to me reads August 10, 2008. Maybe it's just displaying it in a non standard format (i.e. dd/mm/yr)

It is set to send a PM after donating, but if you didn't log in to paypal there is no way that it could have taken the money from your account. Double check your paypal account to see if there is a $5 transaction. I fixed the date, you were correct, it was displaying d/m/y, should be m/d/y now.

Just updated the first post with info on this. I have to manually confirm each donation. I have confirmed your donation and added you to the correct usergroup. And I am still working on the "donater" user rank icon. I hope to finish them up tonight.

Hmm, after a quick google search it looks like you are right. I would assume since you spell "donate" with an e at the end, you would just add an "r". That's what I get for assuming. I'll change it tonight.

Are you talking about the index? Can you send me a screenshot when you are logged in and go to www.custommopars.com . I checked all the permissions and everything is correct. Any other donators can't see the homepage?

I don't remember what it looked like but I know what Alex is talking about.
There is no Home Page anymore. There used to be a link called "Home".

By default my browser's stored link (saved in my favorites list) used to be this home page.
Now it opens up to the Groups List off to the left side of the page.

advertisements are a way of doing business. if the advertisers are monitored and qualified they are a good source of products and product information for the forum members. i personally appreciate them.
my donation is still coming your way. are the problems resolved with paypal?
